I have something that may interest you… a New Year Traffic Boost!
Over at Jack Humphrey’s blog: Friday Traffic Report, there’s a post about getting your blog favorited on technorati.
This is another way to potentially get more quality links and traffic to your blog and increase you rankings in the process.
Jack’s been running a test with his readers and you can join in and attract more attention to your blog.
Simply go to technorati and sign up, then “claim” your blog.
Then check out Jack’s guidelines on his blog and join in the test.
You can check out my technorati profile here and favorite me if you like this idea.
Give it a go, it’s easy to do and it could make all the difference to your blogtraffic and hit rate.

Hey Ken, thanks for this and your comment on my blog offering help with Technorati. Unfortunately, I still don’t understand it.
I followed Jack’s instructions and think everything went right, but nothing seemed to happen. I mean my traffic didn’t improve or anything. What is supposed to happen anyway? I’m not sure what to do with it.

Hi Paul,
It is a way of getting backlinks to your blog. The more links you have the more popular your blog appears to the search engines. Popular sites get higher rankings and will appear higher in the SERPS for any given keyword/keyphrase. The higher it appears in the search pages the more chances you have of getting a click.
Also, more people are likely to see your blog as it has wider exposure.
Any time you leave your blog URL on another site it usually represents a backlink, so commenting on other blogs and forums etc. is a good idea.
As with most free traffic generation methods, it is part of a greater scheme that takes time to come into effect. You will not see an instant increase in traffic.
You have added some blogs to your favorites at technorati but the greatest benefit comes when they link back to you, so the advice is to remove those sites from your favourites that are not linking to you after a reasonable time period.

Thought you may like to know just got your blog on screen after 3 clicks surfing on Blog Clicker, see thst one does work, people do find you.
Thursday and Friday this week , phew, can have a lie in on Saturday. thank goodness for that.
